The Balanced Economy

The Balanced Economy Project is a new organisation dedicated to promoting healthy forms of competition – and tackling harmful competition and excessive concentrations of economic and financial power, around the world.

Our latest newsletter contains an interview with Simon Holmes, a judge at the UK’s Competition Tribunal, who recently co-published a paper with our co-director Michelle Meagher, on how to use (and reform) competition tools to tackle the climate crisis.

In short, it shows how existing tools in Europe can go a lot further in addressing the climate crisis – and how we need to expand the toolbox if we are going to get serious about the issues.

The climate edition of our newsletter is available here.
